KRUG ROSÉ 21ÈME ÉDITION
Inspired by the dream of the fifth generation of the House of Krug to conceive a rosé Champagne that did not yet exist, every year a new Édition of Krug Rosé is created.
Krug Rosé 21ème Édition was composed around the harvest of 2008. Following a mild winter, overcast spring and cool summer, there was concern over the maturation of the grapes, further compounded by a severe hailstorm that hit the village of Sainte-Gemme, reputed for its plots of Meunier. But in mid-September, the clouds miraculously parted and favorable conditions lasted throughout the harvest, which gave us grapes in excellent health and with a good level of maturity.
At first sight, its subtle pale pink colour holds a promise of elegance.
On the nose, aromas of rose hips, cured ham, mulberries, redcurrant, peony, pepper and pink grapefruit.
On the palate, delicate flavours of honey, citrus and dried fruit with a long finish, enhanced by its fine bubbles complete the experience.
